SMSA Launches Regional Operations in South Africa

Under the patronage of His Excellency Minister of Commerce Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi and the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to South Africa, Faisal bin Fallah Al-Harbi, SMSA has inaugurated its regional operations hub in Johannesburg, South Africa. This initiative is part of SMSA's ongoing efforts to provide integrated logistics solutions that support the business sector and enhance trade exchanges. It offers companies across Africa the opportunity to benefit from the Kingdom's transformation into a global logistics hub connecting Africa, Asia, and Europe, in line with Saudi Vision 2030.

SMSA has acquired the Namlog Group, which comprises five companies operating in six countries: South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Lesotho, Eswatini, and Zambia. This acquisition will enhance SMSA's global competitiveness, facilitating trade between Saudi Arabia and African nations, and is a key element of SMSA's regional and international expansion plan.

The Namlog Group is a leading company in transportation and specialized logistics services in South Africa and its neighboring countries, serving numerous global firms in critical sectors such as mining, automotive, and consumer goods.

Since its establishment in 1994, SMSA has continually expanded its range of services to include international and domestic express delivery, air, sea, and land freight, customs clearance, e-commerce solutions, specialized services for the healthcare sector, dedicated delivery channels, mailroom management, and many other services. This growth has positioned SMSA as the ideal logistics partner for numerous prestigious companies.
